Our Vision for the Future of Women Who Write

About TEA

The Essence of An Authoress Brunch is an intimate tribe building experience for women of color that facilitates a safe space for the exchange of stories and to create awareness about the HerStory Literary Initiative. Amidst a series of candid discussions about current events pertinent to the progression of the culture and elevation of the community, black women who write are empowered to serve as vessels for untold stories. Founded by Celebrity Ghostwriter and CEO of 13th & Joan Publishing House, Ardre Orie, The Essence of An Authoress Brunch is the signature event honoring the women behind the pen—the authors of the HerStory Literary Initiative and powered by 13th & Joan Publishing House.

Introducing the

HERStory Literary Initiative

HerStory is a literary initiative and fee-based curated cohort for women of color that provides a blueprint to transform your ideas into published manuscripts.

Members of each cohort are carefully selected from a pool of applicants to create a dynamic group of women who will motivate, inspire and work alongside each other to reach their goals, all while building a unique sisterhood that uplifts and empowers the success of their fellow authors.

This is about creating a safe space for you to tell your truth—and the tools to make sure you are heard.
